About the Event
The Baltimore County Arts Guild proudly presents "Resonance: Indigenous Roots, Modern Expressions", an art exhibit celebrating Indigenous Heritage Month. This powerful showcase features the works of renowned artists Raine Dawn Valentine and Roberto Max Dyea, exploring the intersection of Indigenous traditions and contemporary expressions.
The exhibit runs from October 25th to November 20th, 2024, with an opening reception on November 1st, 6–8 PM at 1101 Maiden Choice Lane, Baltimore, MD 21229. Come witness the vibrant storytelling and cultural resonance through modern interpretations of ancestral roots.
Artists' Bios
Raine Dawn Valentine
Raine Dawn Valentine has taught middle school art for 17 years at Ridgely Middle School in Baltimore County Public Schools, MD. She is a member of the Turtle Mountain Tribe of Chippewa in North Dakota and is rooted in her tribe’s traditional spiritual practices.
